Since our last shipment arrived I have been trying to figure out how to let people know how much character this load of Ancient Kauri has. He guys milling in New Zealand went out of their way to send some amazing stuff.
We took pictures of each of the dried 1” boards and put them on line a couple of weeks ago. These are really nice pieces of lumber, and I am amazed that very few people have caught on to how nice they are! If you want to try some Ancient Kauri out you can choose your own board and go right to the checkout online. http://www.ancientwood.com/catalog/boards
We have some pictures of the two-inch boards in the Photo Gallery part of the web site. We can’t get them into the regular shopping area because many of them have not been dried yet, so they have not been individually photographed. If two-inch boards interest you, check them out!

These two efforts mentioned above are kind of the same idea with the “Piece of the Week”. These are pieces that get overlooked for some reason, but are some of the best of the best.
I am asking:
How do you want us to show you the Ancient Kauri?
What other blog topics do you want to hear about?
We will be putting different staff on the blog project as we progress, so if you want specific answers from a staff member you have interacted with, let us know.
The weather here in northern Wisconsin looks great for the weekend- sunny and almost warm. This year it has been staying a bit too cool. I’ll take the sun - we are ready for summer. It’s the kids last day of school today- and it makes me long for summer vacations again!
Have a good Thursday!
